Feni ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Feni, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following information when you use Feni:
- Account information: your name and email address, collected and managed by Clerk (our authentication provider).
- Payment information: billing details processed exclusively by Dodo Payments. We never see or store your card number.
- Uploaded content: video files and SOP text you submit for processing.
- Usage data: job history, credit transactions, and session metadata.
2. How we use your information
We use your information solely to operate and improve Feni:
- To authenticate you and manage your account via Clerk.
- To process payments and manage your credit wallet via Dodo Payments.
- To run AI processing jobs (transcription, SOP generation, video rendering) on your uploaded content.
- To send transactional emails related to your account or jobs (no marketing without consent).
We do not sell your personal data, uploaded videos, or generated SOPs to any third party.
3. Zero-waste video storage
Feni operates a strict zero-waste storage policy. Video files you upload are stored temporarily in a private, encrypted bucket solely for the duration of processing. They are permanently and irreversibly deleted immediately after your SOP is generated — typically within minutes. We do not retain, review, or use your video content for any other purpose.
4. Third-party services
Feni uses the following third-party providers, each with their own privacy policies:
- Clerk — authentication and user identity management (clerk.com)
- Dodo Payments — payment processing and billing (dodopayments.com)
- Supabase — database and file storage infrastructure (supabase.com)
- OpenAI — AI transcription and SOP generation (openai.com)
- Shotstack — programmatic video rendering (shotstack.io)
We share only the minimum data required with each provider to operate the service.
5. Data retention
Account data (name, email, job history, transaction records) is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Credit transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.
